A quick and not very thorough review of tube amplifier power consumption

Taking a 5y3 rectified dual 6v6, 3x 12ax7 guitar amp running a 10k load into an 8 ohm or so speaker, the power amp at 70% idle dissipation for class AB, the total gross power consumption ought to be:

heater consumption:
5y3: 10w (5V, 2A)
6v6: 5.67w (6.3V, .45A)*2
12ax7: 5.67w (6.3V, .3A)*3

Idle Signal Draw @ 70% 6V6 dissipation:
6v6: 16.8w (.056mA / 300V * .7)
12ax7: approx 6 or 7 mA

total: 38.147w

A month off...

Makes me a very unhappy person. So here's something I wrote today after forcing myself to end the distractions:

What the Deuce?

Soundcloud seems to normalize my samples or something to that effect. Not so cool.

Mostly done

With this bit... on to bigger things for today.

So my change up is coming into it's own. I am happy. Except I have to write a new change up :P

Before I forget... All the glitches are REAPER's uber-ultra-mega-rad parameter modulated reaDelays. That's how we do it.

So here's something interesting that guitar players complain about alot... that is getting feedback from amp sims. Well the answer is obvious, turn your bloody monitors up! You don't need some extra stupid feedbacker plugin. Anyway here's a bit that'll probably be a change in a new song.

I just couldn't live with myself not writing anything so I wrote this (clams and all!):
